Ensembles & Curriculum
Curricular Philosophy
Ethos classes and ensembles follow a process-based curriculum. That is, rather than focus solely on the music for an upcoming concert, Ethos faculty seek to enrich the complete student musician.

-
Children's Choir rehearsals include weekly time at the piano keyboard and a strong focus on solfege
-
Jazz Ensemble rehearsals regularly focus on improvisation and stylistic differences in jazz idioms
-
Academy (beginning string) Classes include studies in music literacy and playing technique
-
Large ensembles (Reading Orchestra, Camerata Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Wind Symphony) contextualize ensemble repertoire with music theory and history
