The Ethos Music Academy is a two-year curriculum of group lessons for beginning string players.  For most students, the Ethos Music Academy is their first introduction to instrumental music-making.  Academy 1 classes begin each Fall (see calendar below) with a kickoff camp and instrument fitting, where students play games and try out each instrument - violin, viola, cello, and bass!  

After a year in Academy 1, students are automatically promoted to Academy 2, where they continue to learn fundamental skills in literacy, technique, and playing in an ensemble.  After two years in the Ethos Music Academy, students graduate to the Ethos Reading Orchestra, after which they can audition for one of our advanced orchestras.  In this way, Ethos is proud to shepherd students from their first time holding an instrument all the way to preparing for their college auditions!
